PMI Terima Donasi Rp2,4 Miliar dari Panasonic Gobel Group untuk Rehabilitasi Bencana di Sumatera
CEO Panasonic Gobel Group, Rahmat Gobel, memberikan bantuan bencana alam untuk Sumatera berupa Radio, Senter dan Baterai Panasonic senilai Rp2,4 miliar yang berlangsung di Markas Pusat PMI, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta Selatan diterima langsung Ketua Umum PMI Jusuf Kalla.
PALOPOPOS.CO.ID, JAKARTA– Ketua Umum PMI Jusuf Kalla mengatakan bahwa penanganan bencana di wilayah Sumatera saat ini telah memasuki tahap rehabilitasi, dengan fokus utama pada pemulihan kebutuhan dasar masyarakat seperti perbaikan rumah dan penyediaan air bersih.
Menurut Jusuf Kalla, salah satu pekerjaan yang sedang dilakukan oleh Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) adalah memperbaiki sistem distribusi air yang rusak akibat bencana.
“Sekarang tahapnya rehabilitasi. Berbagai hal dilakukan agar masyarakat bisa kembali memiliki rumah dan kehidupan normal. PMI saat ini fokus pada perbaikan sistem air bersih karena banyak pipa yang rusak,” ujar Jusuf Kalla kepada wartawan di Jakarta, Kamis (12/3).
Ia menjelaskan, proses pemulihan sistem air bersih biasanya membutuhkan waktu cukup lama. Berdasarkan pengalaman PMI dalam penanganan bencana sebelumnya di beberapa daerah seperti Yogyakarta dan Malang, perbaikan jaringan pipa hingga kembali berfungsi normal dapat memakan waktu hingga satu tahun.
“Biasanya sekitar satu tahun untuk memastikan seluruh sistem pipa dan distribusi air bisa kembali normal dan masyarakat mendapatkan akses air bersih,” katanya.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, PMI menerima donasi bantuan bencana alam untuk Sumatera berupa Radio, Senter dan Baterai Panasonic senilai Rp2,4 miliar dari Panasonic Gobel Group. Bantuan tersebut diserahkan langsung oleh CEO Panasonic Gobel Group, Rahmat Gobel, di Markas Pusat PMI, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta Selatan.
